Shirts for Scouts
By the Great Sauk Trail Council
Do you remember the first time you or your son put on the Scout uniform the excitement about upcoming camp outs and being part of a group that comes with the uniform. They didn’t know but that they were part of the largest youth movement in the world.
Today many of our existing and new Scout families can’t afford even a shirt. The shirt is more than cloth and thread; it’s a symbol that shows the world, “I am Scout.” We have the opportunity to give them that chance to feel the pride.
Great Sauk Trail Council proudly announces Shirts for Scouts. We are asking Scouts and Scouters to gather up all their clean, wearable uniform pieces (shirts, pants, shorts, belts and hats only) they have outgrown or no longer wear. Please bring them to your district kickoffs, roundtables or Council Service Centers. This will provide two giant smiles-one on the face of the shirts new owner and on YOUR face when you help a fellow Scout in our area.
Also, if you need a uniform piece or know someone who does please contact Mary Howard at the Ann Arbor Service Center.
If you have any questions regarding this program please contact Val Herr |
