Below is a list of different positions and the training that is needed to be considered trained for that position.

Please make sure that you get the required training. Direct contact leadership MUST be trained in their position or they will not be rechartered.

 

Cub Scout Leaders:

Fast Start for your position

Youth Protection Training (renewed every 2 years)

This Is Scouting

Cub Leader Specific Training

A Cub Trainer is going to be a required position. Get your person trained now

Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters:

Fast Start for your position

Youth Protection Training (renewed every 2 years)

This Is Scouting

Scoutmaster/Asst. Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Cub and/or Troop Committee Members:

Fast Start for your position

Youth Protection Training (renewed every 2 years)

This Is Scouting

Cub or Troop Committee Challenge

(offered as a part of Cub of Boy Scout Specific Training)

 

Venturing Crew Advisors, Assistant Advisors, Committee Members:

Fast Start for your position

Youth Protection (renewed every 2 years)

Venturing Leader Specific Training

Unit/District and Assistant District Commissioners:

Fast Start for your position

Youth Protection Training (renewed every 2 years)

This Is Scouting

Commissioner Basic Training

Roundtable Commissioners/ Roundtable Training Staff:

Youth Protection Training (renewed every 2 years)

Trainer’s Edge 

All commissioner’s should have this training, Wood Badge and NYLT is requiring it. The training is for youth and adults.
